In-Service Days & Holiday Camps

Turn school breaks into something exciting with the YMCA of Central New Mexico’s Holiday and In-Service Day Camps! Hosted at the Horn Family YMCA and St. Paul's United Methodist Church, our full-day program runs from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a structured schedule similar to the school day (drop-off 7:00–9:00 AM, pick-up 4:00–6:00 PM).

Kids enjoy a mix of games, hands-on activities, art projects, and group experiences that keep them active, engaged, and learning. During week-long breaks, we add even more excitement with off-site field trips whenever possible. We accept ECECD contracts as well as private pay, making our program accessible for families.

Monday & Friday Learning Labs

The YMCA’s Learning Labs offer a fun, structured place for students to stay on track during non-traditional school days. Running from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Horn Family YMCA, our schedule mirrors a school day with dedicated time for assignments, enrichment, and active breaks.

Students receive support from YMCA staff while building friendships, confidence, and important life skills—all in a safe, engaging environment. We accept both ECECD contracts and out-of-pocket payment options to meet family needs.

All Camp Days will be running from 7:00am-6:00pm at both locations!

Holiday & In-Service Camps for K-5: FAQs

Will meals be provided?

No, not during the school year. Children are required to bring their own lunch and a morning and afternoon snack.

What New Families need:

  • A YMCA account with updated child profile
  • Payment method on file
  • Active ECECD full-time contract before April 15th
  • No registration fee or deposit necessary if you have an approved ECECD contract

If paying out of pocket:

  • $10 deposit for each week your child will attend
  • $25 Registration fee per child
  • Membership fee if applicable

What Existing Families need:

  • A wrap-around contract should be emailed to childcare@ymcacnm.org
  • Updated child profile on you YMCA account
