Summer Day Camp

YMCA Day Camp is a curriculum based summer program designed to keep your child active and safe throughout the summer for incoming 1st graders through 12 year olds (until they turn 13).  Character development plays a big role in our camps.  Respect, responsibility, honesty and caring are values we review on a daily basis with our campers.  You can be certain that your child will be in a safe and nurturing environment that offers a different activity for them to participate in every hour of the day.

The Day Camp curriculum is based on weekly themes and includes arts & humanities, health, wellness & fitness, literacy, STEAM, character development, service-learning and social competence & conflict resolution.

Children will be divided into age appropriate groups and assigned a camp counselor who guides them though our daily curriculum.  Some of our camper’s favorite activities include weekly field trips and recreational swim time. In addition to field trips, we’ll have volunteers and guest speakers from our local partners.

Swimming will be offered every week but due to capacity limits with the City of Albuquerque, only 15 students may attend at a time. Water days will be substituted in the days that children are not swimming.

Day Camp Hours:

Monday – Friday, 7 am to 6 pm
All camp sites will be closed Juneteenth 6/19 and July 4th (Independence Day).
