Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind.
The YMCA offers American Taekwondo Association (ATA) classes for the whole family starting from age 5 to adults.

ATA Tigers (ages 5-7): This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
ATA Karate for Kids (ages 8-12): The foundation of the Karate for Kids curriculum is the education and development of life skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence.
ATA Adults (age 13 up): The ATA Martial Arts curriculum is customized for adults. Unlike children’s programs, adult programs focus on high-intensity fitness and real self-defense that applies in today’s world. Adults with kids in the programs may attend the kid’s classes to help and learn. Adult instructor program is also available.
ATA Tigers: Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30pm
ATA Karate for Kids: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm
ATA Adults: Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:15pm
All Ages/Ranks: Saturdays at 12:00pm (2 hours)
