Volunteering at the YMCA is the most effective use of my time and talents to make a difference in the lives of the youth in our community. It’s only the Y that spends the time and money to do all the small things that make children and their family’s safe and supported.

I serve the Y because the Y has served me…..first as a teenager, providing youth activities, camp, and Y-Teens for myself, and then as an adult, providing numerous activities for my three children as they were growing up. The Y is a vital presence in every community it serves, offering social, healthful, spiritual and recreational opportunities in a safe and wholesome environment. God bless the YMCA!
I serve on the YMCA board because some of the fondest memories from my childhood are the times I spent in youth programs at my local YMCA. I want to do what I can to help other kids have those same positive experiences.
I have been involved in 7 different Y’s around the country. My dream is for a full facility YMCA in Rio Rancho. I love hiking, camping, kids and Active Older Adults.
I enjoy supporting my community, I have coached boys basketball teams for the Rio Rancho Parks and Rec league for many years and think the Y in Rio Rancho would be a great thing for the community as a whole. From youth activities to seniors, it is a needed part of our community and I am very glad that I can be part of it.
