Youth Sports

The YMCA of Central New Mexico’s Youth Sports program is open to children and teens, from age 3 to 17. Our Youth Sports are the starting point for many kids and teens to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives.

Itty Bitty Sports

3 and 4 years

Summer classes designed to introduce your 3 and 4 year olds to  soccer, baseball and basketball. Sports are taught to children through parent and community volunteers.

Basketball

6 - 17 years

Our Youth Basketball League is the largest youth basketball organization in New Mexico. The Y’s unique approach to youth sports emphasizes skill development, family involvement, character development, and low-competition. We always keep winning and losing in perspective.

Baseball

5-8 years

Our summer baseball league is a 10 week program guaranteeing 10 practices and 8 games.

Soccer

5-8 years

Soccer is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills. Our soccer league promises no try outs, no getting cut, and no bench warmers! Every child plays at least half of every game, while making friends and learning new techniques.

Volleyball

5-14 years

The YMCA of Central New Mexico’s Youth Volleyball leagues are the only non-competitive leagues available to the youth of Albuquerque and one of the only youth leagues outside of the APS system.

Sports and Specialty Camps

8 - 13 years

YMCA of Central New Mexico's Sports Camps and Specialty Camps offer youth specialized programs in a day camp setting. Our summer classes teach an array special skills that your child can build upon over the years.

Coaches

Coaches are the heart of our Youth Sports program. We are pleased to offer a number of resources available to help our coaches and assistant coaches.
