Membership FAQ
How much does a membership cost?
Membership varies and includes a one-time $50 “joining fee”. Please reference our rates table for further details.
Do you offer reduced rates?
Financial assistance is provided through scholarship funds. Although we are currently accepting scholarship requests for youth only, we may give special consideration on a case by case basis. Please download our scholarship request form (Word) and submit to our member services.
Do you have corporate rates?
We do offer corporate rates. Please reference our Corporate Wellness Program for further details.
Can I pay cash instead of automatic debit?
We accept cash payment in advance for a 12-month period.
To pay your membership dues monthly, we automatically debit from a bank account or credit card. To establish this monthly draft, we need a voided check from the account you wish to use for payment or a letter from your bank with account and routing information.
How do I become a member?
Visit any YMCA of Central New Mexico location to join. You will need to complete a membership application and have a check for your initial dues, as well as a voided check if you opt to establish a monthly draft.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
There are no contracts! Our membership is flexible and on a monthly basis. You may end your membership anytime 30 days before your next debit.
How do I cancel my membership?
The YMCA requires a 30-day written notice to cancel a membership. Cancellation forms are available at the Member Services desk of your local facility.
Can I visit other Ys?
Yes! Many YMCAs across the country participate in our AWAY program, which allows members from other Ys to visit. Be sure to call a location prior to visiting for specific policies.
Can I bring guests?
Yes. We encourage our members to introduce their friends, family and colleagues to the YMCA.
Members are allowed three guest passes per year.
What are your hours?
Hours vary by branch. Please reference the individual branch for further information.
Do you have lockers?
All branches have lockers available for member use during the day only.
Members should bring lock to secure their belongings.
Do you have parking?
Yes, all branches have parking available.
Will someone assist me with my workout?
Yes! Our fitness staff and personal trainers are available to conduct fitness assessments, set up individualized routines and establish ongoing personal training sessions.
Ask your instructor about fees for ongoing training.
Do you provide towels?
No, members and guests need to bring their own towels.
Can I bring my child in while I work out?
Yes! We offer a complementary Child Watch program to our members for children 6-months to 8 years. Ask your branch for specific information regarding times.
